strong line up announced by the experienced Swiss outfit

Scuderia Basilea uniting two promising debutants of last season to challenge for the titles in the new season.

Team Owner David Jundt first adressed a topic of personal matter: "As of the end of 2016, the Monteverdi Car Museum is no more. 22 cars will receive their own exhibition in the Swiss museum for transportation in Lucerne, but the rest will probably be sold off or auctioned.

This is a sad moment for me as I feel like it was fate I was infected by the motorsport virus, but it spurs me on to try and clinch the titles this year."

The team expects to fight for said titles with the following drivers:

He's scored his first win on his way to 6th in the final standings, even though he didn't start the season. He's the flying Dutchman with the win in his name, driving the #66: Mike Kwint!

Mike Kwint: "I am looking forward to drive for Scuderia Basilea again this season. Last season was a learning season for me. I hope we can fight for wins but we will see what happens. With Maciej as my new teammate we have a strong team. I think a top 3 is possible for both the Drivers Championship and the Teams Championship, but the season is yet to start, so anything can happen."

David Jundt: "We're very happy that Mike decided to stay with us to tackle his first full season. My decision to sign him for the vacated seat last year after his performances in the abandoned Vintage Series aswell as in the FC Academy car proved to be right. He's been showing consistency over the remaining events of the previous season, so I am sure he'll be up there fighting for the top spots again."

As already mentioned by Mike, in car #89, we have Polish driver Maciej Mlynek!

Maciej Mlynek: "I am happy that I joined Basilea. After my entry last season I hope, I can perform very good with Mike as a teammate. I don't wanna put to high expectations for myself, but I think Top 5 should be possible for myself and Top 3 for the team. But we are still aiming for both championships!"

David Jundt: "Another incredibly skilled driver that already shone in VEC/VLMS aswell as in several rounds of the Road to Vegas eRace. He seems to possess great adaptability as he took to the track in each career ladder series at least once and scored in all of them, including 3 podiums in FC. I am sure that it's just a matter of time before his first win."

The team has yet to name a reserve/test driver for the season, which will start on the 7th of March at the Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia.
