The English driver, a multiple Superleague race-winner, joins the Norwegian team as they mount a new assault for the Championship crown.
In an announcement as part of the GPVWC Day activities, Nordsjøen Racing announced that Alex Cooper will be joining the team for the 2018 season.

Cooper, who raced for Hawkeye in 2017, winning the Russian Grand Prix, will line up alongside David Fidock, forming one of the Superleague's most promising lineups.

Alex Cooper, Nordsjøen Racing car #27: "It was impossible for me to turn down an offer from a team as successful as Nordsjøen. I'm looking forward to working with everybody, after knowing David for almost ten years it's the first time we'll actually be team mates, and I'm sure being alongside a two time champion will only help me progress as a driver.

"As for my expectations for the year, I'm hoping to be back towards the sharp end of the grid, and I'm sure that being part of such an amazing team will help me achieve that."

Will Ponissi, Nordsjøen Racing Team Principal: "I am proud to welcome Alex to the team and I am looking forward to the challenge that him and David will bring in 2018. I have been a fan of Alex since his debut in 2012 - any driver winning a Superleague race in just his second outing is a head-turner. His performances over the years have always been of the highest quality and I am excited about the prospect of him winning with us."

Alex Cooper won six of the 61 Superleague races he has started in a career spanning six seasons. He finished runner-up in the 2012 Supercup and claimed the World GT title in 2013.
