The new Formula Challenge team moved quickly to announce their driver partnership for the year ahead, when they will make their debut in the Career Ladder.

Idos Motorsport made swift work of confirming their new line up ahead of their debut season on the Career Ladder. Under a week ago the team was granted entrance to the 2018 Formula Challenge grid having competed in the 2017 ITC season.

Having had a popular application process, two experienced drivers were selected by team owner Elise Skinner for the challenge ahead.

Michal Galka heads up the team after debuting in mid 2017. Galka started by taking a GPVWC Academy drive in Germany and scoring points before being signed to do the following four events for THUnderdog and TR Motorsports. Finishing all the races in Formula Challenge was a solid showing but it was races for Madcape in the Superleague that caught the eye. Qualifying an undeveloped car within the top 10 and scoring points in four of the five events proved he wasn't out of place and the year ahead back in Formula Challenge looks promising.

Ed Williams returns to Idos having done half the ITC 2017 season with the team. That familiarity with the team will be important and balances the new face of Galka. Williams raced Formula Challenge back in 2013 for Tanskanen Racing and, although yet to score a GPVWC point in his career, always shows the pace and talent is there for a breakthrough season.

With seven new teams on the grid this year there will be a real fight for best new team but the Idos line up has set the benchmark high.
