Hawkeye Racing have confirmed their 2018 Superleague lineup will be the talented pairing of Ricardo Costa and Fran Lopez.

Fran Lopez is well known in the GPVWC community having made his debut back in 2014 for Kernow Sport. The Spaniard is relishing the opportunity to race for one of the four manufacturers: "It's hard to describe how happy I am to finally join Hawkeye. One of the most exciting things of the season is going to be belonging to a team that manufactures its own engines, which always gives a boost to our chances of getting better results. Something that I'm also looking forward to is having a top level teammate as Ricardo is. It will be a big challenge to beat him, but I will use this as an incentive to improve my own perfomance. I hope to see both of the Hawkeyes take some wins this season, so be sure we are going to work hard for it."

Ricardo Costa will be a new face to most in the league, having competed in endurance racing rather than single seaters. Costa knows the transition won't be easy but is raring to get started: "I thank Ric a lot for this opportunity. GPVWC provides an excellent platform with a very well organized series and it also has a lot of history. So it was a no-brainer for me to take the challenge. I know I have a lot of work to do since this is a completely new car to me but I'm ready to work hard on the setup. I'm very hyped."

Chris Butcher will take the important role of reserve driver. The Englishman will be responsible for gaining the eRD points for Talos and will be ready to stand in for either driver in their absence.

Team principal Ric Scott is confident they'll be able to build on last seasons performance: "I'm delighted to have Ricardo and Fran at the team. They're both keen fighting for wins next season and it's that winning mentality that'll give us a great chance of finishing higher up in the championship this year. Chris has been great in FC and I'm looking forward to working with him in the Superleague."
