Hawkeye Racing confirmed today they will retain the services of Ricardo Costa and Liam de Waal for the 2019 GPVWC WTF1 Superleague season with Brazilian Pedro Moura joining the team as reserve driver.
Team Manager Ric Scott is optimistic the team can improve on their driver stability that they've lacked in recent seasons: "I'm delighted to have kept both Ricardo and Liam at the team. We've struggled to keep a consistent line-up through the seasons and I'm confident that this year we can change that".

Scott is also determined to improve on their 5th place finish in 2018: ?Last year we had some decent results and finishing 5th in the championship was okay but we can do much better. I believe starting the season with two proven, award winning talents will help ensure we can get some big results in 2019, I can't wait!"

The team also unveiled a unique and original pre-season testing livery, to be used at the China test. Manager Scott added that he thought to use black and yellow "ages ago" despite claims he copied rival teams schemes.

Ricardo Costa: I enjoyed the 2018 season a lot although it was a rough one, full of ups and downs mostly due to me being inexperienced with this league.

We have a great environment in the team with Ric Scott having a great professional mindset and Liam de Waal being one of the fastest guys in the league.

I'm sure we've got what we need to make 2019 a great season!

Liam de Waal: I am really excited to resign for Hawkeye after an amazing second half of the 2018 season. The team ethic over here is something I've never experienced before, and I'm honored to get the chance to fight for even better results with Ricardo in 2019! This should be a breakthrough year for Hawkeye, and I'll do my very best to not change team halfway and score as many points as possible!

Pedro Moura:I'm really happy to be part of the team, I got surprised with the invite and that's a great opportunity to learn and improve mysellf as a driver considering I'm going to work with some of the best drivers. I hope to help the team a lot and I'm looking foward for this year.
