Alastair Khan's shock retirement caused panic in the Santen Motorsports team, with less than a week to go untill Turkey the team was left without a second main driver.

Jan Santen soon signed Nikodem Wierzbicki after talks with Joey Vrolijk, owner of Drillers Motorsport.

Despite Nikodem's performance in Turkey he says he is happy with his GPVWC debut. He states: "It was a great experience for my first formula race! I see my mistakes so I will be prepared for next race a lot more. For Turkey I only had 3 days and I will be more prepared for Canada.". Jan Santen has stated the following: "I'm happy with Nikodem's performance in Turkey, the results might not look stellar, but do keep in mind that this was his first round ever in GPVWC. Nikodem is much more experienced in Sports- and Touringcar racing. This is surely a step in the right direction for the team.".

Daniel Hurlock yet again brought in some points for the team but he wasn't quite pleased about the 2 races in Turkey. It was a difficult race for Daniel but he made the best out of it.
