Peter van Oostende had to compete in the Australian GP quals with very short notice.

"Wow, some hectic qualifying for Mapes-VO. I was just speaking to some sponsors while drinking coffee in our motorhome. Suddenly my co-manager and 1st spare driver, Matt Maple, comes to me saying he can't participate in the qualifying session, with only 1 hour left!

So I threw the coffee down my throat while running to our pitbox, put on Matt's uniform wich was off course much to small jumped in the car which was set for Matt, so I was pretty uncomforable sitting in the car with no time to make me a good setup. My only thought was: "Can I make it within the 107 % in time?"

Well with this result, P10, I'm more then pleased. Considering the fact that

I am a lousy qualifier did the qualifying under lousy circumstances on a track I really don't like.

But P10 gives me great hope for the race, I think I will amaze a lot of people, when coming up their mirrors really really fast!

Yes this manager knows how to handle a car!"
