New promise William Ponissi couldn't compete in the Australian GP qualifying due to a very serious reason - no one had told him he had a seat.

Confirmation from Mommark team manager Mark Landman, indeed, only arrived after the session was over.

Fortunately, the driver from Rodano was allowed to take part in the race by the Stewards.

"I am sad about the mess that happened during the qualify. I am still recovering from the terrible accident I had during winter, and I'd like to thank the Governing body for giving me a chance to race anyway.

I'd also like to thank the team which has prepared in such a short time a car comfortable for me and my teammate, as we're both around 2 metres of height!"
