Christopher Jones announced today his intentions to retire from the 2002 season.

"After careful thought and consideration, I have chosen that it would be best to give up my seat at the MCR team. I'm so short of time at the moment, that I will not be able to give my full attention to the team.

Whilst this was a difficult decision to make, I feel it will be the best for the team and myself, as I don't want to do this half heartedly! I want the best for the team and myself, and if I can't give this at the moment, then I shouldnt be racing for the team. I hope not to cut all ties with MCR, but continue to give feedback throughout the remainder of the season, through both testing and setup work.

Rest assured I will be back next season, with MCR if I can, if not another team, but I will be back! I would like to take this opportunity to wish my replacement the best of luck, and thanks to both James and Andy... Good Luck!"
