For the 5th consecutive race, a Hernj-Roaldo is on Pole, although this time it goes to Pedro Daniel Miguel, who has taken his forst 'legal' Pole Position of the 2002 season! Daan Van Renswoude makes it an all Hernj-Roaldo front row setting a time some half a second slower than his team mate. Pablo Arteaga is showing a return to his early season form, with a fine 3rd on the grid for JonkGP.

Joe Consiglio follows up his sensational 2nd on the grid at the last Grand Prix with an equally special lap that put him 4th fastest. Mikko Jakonen put in another solid run to end up 5th fastest alongside GPVWC newcomer - Andy Graydon, in 6th place on his debut for MCR.

Dan Lawrence set the 7th fastest time for the 2nd race in succession, he finished the day just 2 tenths faster than Imola Winner Jason Smith who may be a dark horse for the race as he is the only front runner who chose the harder compound tyre. Andrew Turner and Kieran Ryan round out the top 10, in 9th and 10th respectively, setting near identical times. Ryan must be feeling sore, it's the second race in succession he has been outqualified by a TINY margin.

Blair Disley returns to the Dizzo team after being unable to race at Imola, he lines up 11th alongside another GPVWC newcomer - Martin Ortiz, making his debut for Stealth.

Guilo Paparelli is a disappointing 13th in the JonkGP, a car which is capable of a better time, although he is more reliable than his predecessor [James Fowler] which should give him a lot of breathing space within the team as reliability and commitment are key.

Danny Regan, still battling a sinus infection, wrung the best out of the underpowered Renault engine to 14th fastest. Regan finished the day over half a second clear of the CVRT duo of Darren White and Andrew Creek who both have a 70bhp advantage over the Renault, yet failed to use it today.

Chris Day is the final legal qualifier, setting the 17th quickest time, 7 seconds shy of pole.

There were 2 disqualifications. James Davidson in the KRB and William Ponissi in the TGM. Both drivers failed scrutineering and must race from P22 with a time penalty to be added to their overall race time.
