It's been a busy couple of days at GPVWC HQ. The Administration's main ISP decided to terminate their account without any notice and with a preposterous reason. It was a good 24 hours before any connection was re-established [with a new ISP], this meant that testing from Monza could not be reported on Friday and Saturday. The following article details the action in both Day 3 and Day 4 of the Monza sessions.

Day 3

Dan Lawrence topped the timesheets at Monza today in the Cosworth powered BA Racing. the Briton was ahead of Danny Regan in 2nd place, putting more miles on the underpowered Renault engine.

Andrew Creek was 3rd fastest in the CVRT, ahead of the E.I.R.E of William Ponissi in 4th.

Overall,a very quiet day at the Italian circuit.....more action is expected tomorrow [Day 4].

Day 4

Today saw more cars grace the Monza circuit for the final day of testing before we move onto Canada for the 2002 Canadian Grand Prix. Joe Consiglio was the pacesetter in the Honda powered Stealth, the only driver all week to break into the 1m23's! Dan Lawrence was a further 8 tenths back in 2nd place for BA Racing while Mehmet Coban also boosted his CVRT's teams chances of future glory with the 3rd fastest time.

Peter Harding was 4th in his S.C.U.M. ahead of Peter van Oostende in the Mapes-VO, the manager taking a break from his usual duties to try out his recent Monaco winning package. Tim Williams was the slowest runner of the day, down in 6th place with his best time of the 4 day's at Monza.
