BA Racing are optimistic for this weekends Canadian Grand Prix after completing 4 solid days worth of testing at Monza last week. The British team's temporary manager, Dan Lawrence, has said that the team has taken a step forward in terms of pace.

"We had a really productive 4 days at Monza", said Lawrence, "We were running near or setting teh pace in all the sessions and put some serious mileage on the Cosworth engine."

"We have an upgraded engine for Canada, thanks to our hard work at Monza, which should be worth an extra 10-12bhp over the previous version we have run all season. Our reliability is also at a manageable level and shouldn't, touch wood, give us any worries throughout the coming weekend."

Mal McKee will be returning to the cockpit after his recent problems, and is hopeful of a good grid position and a trouble free race, the latter seems to have eluded him of late.

Lawrence concluded, "All in all, providing we finish the race, we WILL score some good points...that I am 100% certain of."
