Another chapter of the Kieran Ryan log:

What a terrible weekend, on a GP I had high hopes for, this marred my first DNF, and it happened rather abrubtly. It took me a long time to set the car up as it has been really since Monaco, but I got it working well enough but the only problem was that it didn't seem to come well off the kerbs. The only other problem was out of our hands to fix - the engine power, which Honda have promised another unit soon, as of when they don't really know. We suffered a lot from the lack of power and 6th and 7th was a difficult result to achieve.

Through the warm-up we were trying some new ideas and get the car the work well over the kerbs, but the engine gave up after 5 laps so I switched to the spare car for the race - which also didn't work. The car mis-fired on the formation lap and I had to start from last - but I didn't! The engine ceased as the field were coming to the final chicane and I parked it by the pits. Not only was it a DNF but a DNS, worse.

Next though is Europe and another circuit I look forward too. The car should be suited loads on corners and not many straights, so we should work well there. As always at the Nurburgring, It think we'll all be looking at the clouds as rain is to frequent here - THANKFULLY! Rain please come, you'll help me.

The only good thing I can take from Canada was I spotted in an earlier press release, that Celine Dion was touring the paddock so I had a few words with her - a powerful voice, though most of the time she kept talking 'bout her new son, Rene-Charles!
