Joe Consiglio has taken his and Stealth-Honda's first Pole Position at the Nurburgring today, breaking the stranglehold that Hernj-Roaldo have had on the top slot all season!

Erdem Coban managed to salvage 2nd place for the usually dominant team HR outfit in his 2nd race outing for them...it is thought that he will fill this seat for the rest of the season. Gene Annunziata put in a fine performance for KRB to take 3rd, proving that his recent performances were no fluke and that KRB are definately back on their early season pace.

KRB boosted their chances of points in the race with their test driver, Robert Filipe, ably backing up Annunziata with a great 4th position on the grid.

Dan Lawrence set the 5th fastest time as BA Racing aim to get their season back on track after their recent drop in form. Lawrence qualified just 0.042s ahead of Andy Graydon in 6th place for MCR.

Andrew Turner was 7th quickest, right behind his MCR team mate. He is joined on row 4 by Kieran Ryan in the Honda powered Mapes-VO.

Row 5 is occupied by the new 2nd driver at BA Racing, Antonio Irrissari, and Blair Disley in the Dizzo, in 9th and 10th respectively.

Stealth new-boy, Andy Sieber, set the 11th fastest time in a troubled session, he was 7 tenths quicker than Mapes-VO test driver, Andrew Cooper, in 12th.

Both S.C.U.M's occupy row 7, with Danny Regan getting the better of his team mate, Peter Harding, outqualifying him by a tiny 0.007s!

Guilo Paparelli managed to get the 15th quickest time out of the Ferrari powered JonkGP...a poor position for such a good car. He is joined on row 8 with Andrew Creek in the 2nd CVRT setting the 16th fastest time...amazingly outqualifying his more experienced and seasoned team mate - Darren White.

Chris Day set the 17th quickest time in the 2nd Dizzo, ahead of the 1st CVRT of Darren White in an exceptionally low grid position for him.

Both E.I.R.E's occupy the final 2 places on the grid, with Risto Taiple getting the better of the teams usual test driver, Tim Williams. The Welshman was obviously very pleased to be getting his GP debut though, as a replacement for Willy Ponissi who had pressing engagements elsewhere this weekend.

Surprisingly the favourite for Pole , Pedro Daniel Miguel, didn't qualify. He will therefore not be able to start the Grand Prix. Also JonkGP are still to fill their vacant 2nd seat, and won't field a 2nd car for this GP.
