After some success and some years without simracing, Robert came to TouringProSeries in 2012. In June 2012 he joined [[THR]], and since then he has won 5 races and the title in the Virtual Mini Challenge. Other successes include the 2012 F3 and 2013 Mini Cooper title in the french community SRE as well as a win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at Racedepartment, alongside [[David Jundt]].

His final run of the season was in Magny-Cours, until problems between his teammate [[Mike Bell]] and the Ice Cold Racing team directors caused the team to pull out.

A 5th followed in the next race, until he smashed off [[Philip Morby]] in a rage move in race 3. For reasons unknown Wiesenmueller was back in the Symmons Plains round, qualifying 4th. He finished 2nd in the first race, then crashed with [[Oscar Hardwick]] while battling for the lead in the second race, before winning the season final.
