Although Hermse was always proud of driving with an extremely low budget compared to others, that would give him trouble as in his first race he ran in 12th, but then discovered an problem with the brake pedal, forcing him to drop to P17, and being unable to start in his second race.

After being somewhat forced off track during the 2013 Monza GT Race, Hermse had to forfeit mentally already after lap 1, as he was nearly being lapped. 8 laps before the end, the damage got too much, and Hermse had no other choice but then to park his car safely.
