David Fidock is an English driver in the GPVWC and a double World Champion, having won in both 2014 and 2016.

Early Sim-Racing Career

David Started his Sim racing career in 2007, Racing on his own website called "Racing123" David dominated the season winning 16 of the 18 races. And took his first Title

In 2008, Dave set out to defend his title and after a long season battle with Matt Harvey he did just that, Becoming a double world champion. And took another 13 wins on the way.

2009 saw David take on another challenge, wanting to win a title by starting every race from the back of the grid. David took the title battle to the final race of the season but it was just a little to much, David took 8 wins that season, and finished every race but 2 on the podium. but sadly missed out on the title by a small margin.

2010 gave us a very motivated Fidock, The 1st 6 races he took 6 poles and 3 wins, And lead the title by a massive 30 points. But sadly, due to problems with the mod the community voted to abandon the season. and to start the season over and help bring more drivers to the league. So the season was quickly over, And a new mod was found. Season 6 of the OGL season was raced on with the RFT2010 mod. A mod the suited David very well, He went on to take 8 wins in a 12 race calender (again shortened due to lack of interest in the mod) and his 3rd Sim-Racing title.

2011 David Had his hardest title battle to date, Driving in the Ferrari in the OGLSimRacing league, Dave found himself in a season long battle with Florian Geier, David would eventually come out on top, Taking 12 pole positions and 13 wins. But most importantly his 4th Sim-Racing title.

In 2012 OGL went to custom teams, And partnered with Florian Geier they both worked together to create "Red Arrow Racing" a car which went on to dominate the season and play nicely into David's hands. He went on to take 9 wins, and his 5th title by over 100 points.

Also this year, David was told about another league "GPVWC" So decided to give it a look, He signed for No Fear Racing in the Super cup league. He took part in the 1st 7 races But becasue of his title battle with Florian in another league, Dave was forced to pull out to fully concentrate on the title.

2013 was a interesting year for David, He decided to take a season out of Racing and instead take up a role in commentary, A role he very much enjoyed, but soon The racing blood in him started to boil, And he was on the search for a drive.

David was signed up by Dave-carr smith in the formula challenge league to drive for Simink. His debut came at the Austrian GP finishing a impressive 6th place, after only a short amount of time testing the new mod. David joined the season over 100 points behind the title leader, And although many people told Dave to push for the title. He was happy just to gain experience in a new league and help the team to the constructors title. David went on to take 16 podiums and 3 wins, his 1st being the British GP. He finished 2nd in the title race after joining late on, closing the gap a little but Dave did for fill his targets of 2013 by helping Simink clinch the 2013 Formula Challenge constructors title.

David also signed for Midnight Motosport as a test/reserve driver, And at the belgium GP Dave got the chance to drive in SL, He finished p4 after a mistake midway through the race.

SuperLeague Career

In 2014 David took on his biggest challenge to date, Joining one of the biggest leagues with the biggest drivers. Again Dave stayed with team boss Dave-Carr smith, But in a new team "CSG Racing" A team making a return to the Superleague.

The season couldn't have gone any better for Fidock after a very intense battle with team mate lewis redshaw David eventually went on to win the title by 58 points (his 6th sim-racing title in total). Dave was quoted as saying this is by far his greatest achievement in Sim-Racing, coming to a new league with big name drivers and managing to come out on top was a dream he never thought would come true. David also helped CSG return and win the constructors title on their return.

David went on to take a few records this year. He was the first british driver to win the superleague. he finished every race on the podium, and his total points at the end of the season was the most scored by a driver in any year of GPVWC superleague.

For 2015 David will join up with Hawkeye racing as he try's to defend his title.

Before the season even started it was know that a former driver of Hawkeye was found for cheating, leaving the team to lose out on a lot of prize money and effect what would be a challenging season ahead.

From the first race in Australia it was obvious this was gonna be a very hard season for David, all the luck from 2014 seemed to have vanished.

David was in a race long battle for p2 two stopping vs 3 stops for the two closest rivals. David made his 2nd stop and came out in p4 just a few short seconds behind with the 2 cars ahead still needing to put, when the next lap the red flag was shown, and on count back David stayed p4. First time off the podium in over a year.

Dave winning Hawkeye`s First Race at the Bahrain Circuit

This did not let David's head drop. As the very next round Bahrain where he won last year was the scene of round 2. David didn't qualify on pole, but kept his head all race and again went for a two stop whilst the rest of the top 4 3 stopped. This time the red flag stayed away and David took the checkered flag, to take his first win of the season. And more importantly Hawkeye first ever super league win.

This was to be David's only win for a while as the budget and staff came into effect in the season. David had to fight extremely hard to get the car onto the podium which he did many times. But it was a few silly errors that in the end effected the title race massively for David.

A grid drop for Monaco saw David start p7, and on the warm up lap David was caught out by the front runners suddenly slowing and crashed into florian Geier. Leaving both cars to start from the pit lane. David didn't hold back and once out the pits set fastest lap after fastest lap. Before catching upto the pack.

David was making moves left right and centre making his way up the lack very quickly. With 26laps to go David was in p5 and a chance for a podium. But when catching upto Lopez David was caught out again when Lopez seemed to break slightly early and left David locking up and heading into the barrier. David lost a wheel and had to do a whole lap back to the pits. The machanics quickly fixed the damage and David was on his way again. And finally brought the car home in p6. One race he doesn't wanna remember.

But the poor form didn't end there. In silverstone David qualified on pole for his home GP, And after a great start pulled out a big gap to the cars behind. All seemed under control when we got into the final 23 laps. When the rain started to fall. This was unexpected for David who didn't test any laps in the rain. Which began to show fast.

David quickly fell into the path of the drivers in p2 and 3, And then on inters didn't show any pace what so ever and lost seconds per lap. As the race came to an end David took a gamble to switch to the drys which didn't pay off. David broke on a wet patch and spun the car leaving him down outside the top ten. Whilst main title rival won the race.

Did David's luck finally come back for Austria....... We quickly found out that it didn't. A great quali show David bang on pace with the front runners with a under developed car. But it wasn't until the drivers got to the grid that we saw what day it would be for David.......as the rain began to fall. David had a bad start and dropped down to 10th he slowly made his way back up the filed but once again when changing tyres to drys David struggled and spun the car twice loseing his wing in the process. Again David bring the car home outside the top ten. Whilst title rival finished p2.

The mid way point of the season so a huge turning point for David. Extremely disappointed in his performances he picked up his game big time. In a car known not to be on the pace of the front runners David went on a podium run and was challenging for wins. The the tiny parts of car updates stopping him from doing so. But whilst David was pulling out everything from the car. Title rival started to have his own bad luck, and David bring the title defence all the way to the end.

a supreme drive gave Dave the Win at Suzuka

Suzuka Japan... After testing pace of 3 cars David saw that Hawkeye was atleast 0.6 off of CSG and 0.4 off of vodbul, So David decided that a attacking strategy was the best way to go.

a close look at the Winner of the 2015 Japanese Grand Prix

After starting p3 on the grid David made one of his best starts to take the lead into turn one. He then kept the lead whilst others made mistakes in behind. Later in the first stint David wanted to see how he would measure up against the flying CSG of Alex cooper so let him by into turn 1, to David's surprise he kept pace with Alex. And after making his first stop came out in the lead and pushed on from here to take his 2nd win of the season.

And more importantly take the title defence to the last race of the season. Something that didn't seem possible befor the season started.

Into Brazil and the pace of the car showed at the wrong time David could only qualify p6 quite far off the pace. His start once again amazing as he flew off the line and went straight into p3. Right behind his title rival. David was running low downforce for Brazil to help defend people attacking. This didn't help when the rain came as he slowly began to lose the front runners.

As the rain began to go away David's pace picked back up, and just when he started to attack again and close the gap he had a bang from behind from Lopez. David spun around dropping down to p11 and too far behind to challenge again for the title.

David finally ended up p4 and 2nd in the title race. A target that himself and the team were extremely happy about.

He may not of defended his title. But David will be remembered this year for outperforming his car and doing unforgettable things.....

He also made another SL record. Extending his finishing run to 35 races all of which have been in the points. He is now Hawkeye most successful driver.

David will now enter the 2016 looking to get his title back, and he gets to do with the driver he's always gone well with in the past ...Florian Geier . Who back in the OGL days they dominated the season together. And florian also helped David take the 2014 title. They will both team up in Nordsjoen racing.
