Mike Seymour is an English driver in the GPVWC and currently drives for Innervision in the 2012 Supercup season.

Formula One career

2012: Innervision

Five races into the 2012 GPVWC Supercup campaign, Seymour was given the opportunity to begin a three-race stint for the Innervision team. Returning from a two-year break, the 20-year-old made his series debut in Monaco. A difficult qualifying session saw him start from 12th on the grid, before an early accident left him out of the running. It was later revealed that Seymour had been competing with the standard downforce package in the Principality, a costly strategic error.

The Canadian Grand Prix followed two weeks later, where Seymour was much closer to the pace. Strong practice sessions set him up for a top three qualifying performance, although a grid penalty for a minor rule violation in Monaco would send him back to 13th place. After a promising start, Seymour suffered with high tyre degradation and wound up 10th. However, his flashes of speed led Innervision Owner Pavel Loknovski to hand him a full-time drive for the rest of the season.
