Viking Racing is a Danish GPVWC constructor who currently competes in WSS founded and run by Morten Wernersen

2013 season

2013 got off to a tough start with the team finding it hard to get both race seats filled for the first race in Melbourne, the seats was eventually filled by Lee Palmer and Fabio Fontana, but neither would see the half mark of the season, and having already having to skip the 2nd round, as there were no driver available, Fabio left the team soon after, but more stability came with the signing of William Neron from the 3rd round on, Lee did a couple of rounds more but soon left the team too, leaving William the sole driver for the most part of the middle season, the first points finally came when William secured an 8th place in the Turkish GP, the 2nd car was for that round filled by Doug Hilliard, William continued for 2 more rounds, and was partnered by Harley Hamnett, but had to leave the team due to other commitments, and with Harley moving to SL the team was again driverless and had to skip the Belgian and French round, during this period team manager Wernersen had the project up for evaluation whether or not to continue, and almost pulled the plug on it, but eventually decided to keep on to, at least, the end of the season, and by the German round signed the two Englishmen Ben Hackeson and Mike Bell both of who would see the season out, and with Ben scoring points on his Debut for the team, and Mike soon following with 4 points finishes, the team finally enjoyed some stability and points, finishing the season in 25th in the constructors with 35 points.

2014 season

The 2014 season was a much different story from the troubled first season, Ben Hackeson had resigned with the team and was partnered by Ben Horrill for the first couple of rounds, before Horrill left the team and was replaced by Olli Pelkonen, at the Chinese GP Ryan Walker (who was standing in for Hackeson) and Olli managed to secure the teams to date best finish, with a 4th and a 7th place in race 1 respectively, Olli went on to secure several top 10 finishes during the season until he moved up to SL after the Hungarian round, but not before he managed to start from pole in race 2, the teams first, and lead half the race, William Neron made a one of appearance in the Hungarian GP too, standing in for Hackeson who had recurring internet problems, something that would eventually end his season later on, Dutch driver Erik Teske picked up the glove from where Olli had left and went on to take a couple of top 10 finished as well, and in the last race for the the team, as Olli did, taking reverse grid pole for his last race for the team in Brazil and turning it into a 6th place at the end, turning the season into someting completly different than the first, With Hackeson manageing to score some points as well, the team finished the season in 13th with over 100 points! Matt Richards Emil Salberg and James Ross also drove for the team as standins, Matt at the Australian GP for Horrill, Emil at the U.S. GP for Teske and James Ross for Erik Teske at Abu Dhabi and taking over Hackesons seat for the reminder of the season in Japan and Brazil.

2015 season

For the 2015 season the team retained James Ross and recruited Australian newcomer Thomas Hinss Hinss had to step down from his seat after the first round due to personal reasons, and was replaced by Eduard Batalla, Batalla went on to score the majority of the teams points during the season until he moved up to Supercup after the Singapore round, Batalla was replaced by Aidan Polson who drove the reminder of the season alongside Ross, Thomas Hinss and team boss Morten Wernersen also drove for the team as standins, Wernersen at the Turkish round and the Singapore round where Hinss drove qualifying and race 1 and Wernersen Race 2, as Hinss ran into internet issues. Viking ended the season in 14th place in the teams standings with 80 points.

Viking did not continue into the 2016 FC season.

WSS

2015 saw Viking enter the WSS for the first time, with Lars Brugman and Mikael Tuomaala as it's drivers, sporting a black and gold livery, much different from its formula cars.

The season got off with a bang as Brugman scored a 10th in race 1 and the teams to date only podium at GPVWC with a 2nd in race 2! Toumaala dident have a great 1. round and decided to leave the team again, leaving Brugman the only competing driver to race in round 2, Stefan McCready took over Toumaalas seat for the 3rd round, but none of the driver managed to score points, and both Brugman and McCready decided to step down from their seats for the 4th round, leaving the team suddenly driver less, this lead to teamboss Wernersen to end the WSS project early,(so Wernersen could have more time for his rap career, and learning to dance HIP HOP, not really) a disappointing outcome of what looked like a promissing season.

2016 season

After deciding not to reenter into Formula Challenge (and kinda regretting it) Viking decided to give WSS another go, cos surly things could not go as bad as in 2015!
