Sacked driver Ben Connolly apologised to Red Arrows manager Peter Kent after being shown the door from the English team.

"I am sorry for my qualifying time, but I had absolutely no time to practise for qualifying. Believe me its not a thing I'd do again, its just that my girlfriend dumped me that day. I was very upset, and basically took it out on this league. But I was all up and well again for the race. I did a very good race time, practised all day long on saturday, and sunday and I think I did a very good race capable of a quite high position. Just please let me do the monaco race, you may be surprised, and it will give your team very valuable points.

I know how Peter Kent feels, but I am sorry, it won't happen again and since I've already spent ages doing the race yesterday, please let my results be posted. Red Arrows may finish 5 points higher in the Constructors Championship, than what they would if my time is not included. And, Peter would have more money to spend on his team's performace and Drivers, for next season... "
