Leon Chan apologised for his lack of performance:

"I would like to apologise to my team (Feilerfuf) for not being able to start a race this season due to annoying problems which should be solved before next season. Hopefully my team manager, Mathias Koch, will forgive me and allow me to drive for the team next season.

I also have to apologise to Marcellus Schmidt because this season has been very difficult for him without a proper team mate.

I promise that if my problems continue next season I'll either go back to a test driver position or quit. If I do come back next season I promise to my team that I'll score points for the team and post fast times and I have shown my potential already this season in the test drivers sessions, but I still have a lot to improve on and I am sure that I'll gain a lot of experience and improve every race.

Also I would like to congratulate Jason Endean on his first F1 world championship, and I would like to tell Kimmich that I feel sorry for him because three seconds cost him the championship, and I felt that he deserved to win the championship."
