In a league with such a packed calendar as the GPVWC 2009 Superleague, you might be inclined to think that a week with no races would turn out to be a welcome break from the pressure of competition. Unfortunately for the wives and girlfriends of the participating drivers, this is not the case.

The Superleague circus will take part in a scheduled testing session this Thursday, where teams will focus on collecting as much data as possible about their cars - their aim, drawing out new development plans that will most likely find their first results at the return from the summer break.

The testing venue is the historical Autodromo do Estoril, in Portugal - a venue well suited to Superleague cars and that should provide a fun experience for most drivers. In the seaside resort, the eyes of most media will be for the Woods Racing squad, fresh of their first 2009 victory: the English team will be looking for those last steps to help them close the remaining gap with leading teams Nordsjoen and Evans Blue.

The test will be held on Thursday between 8 PM and 11 PM British time. Password for the server is: test.
