The boss of the UK Formula 1 outfit Team RaceBase has been labelled as a sex symbol by the top English Magazine Woodworkers Monthly in a poll that ran for 3 months and accumulated over 30,000 votes from it readers including some of the UK's top Builders Merchants
In an interview with the magazines Fashion editor Bob The Builder, it was reported that 85% of the readers felt that Harland had a lot to offer the British public.
Editor Bob went on to say "The way that Dave holds a brick is awesome to see, his stance whilst laying on the mix is outrageous. We need people like Dave to head up the European Commission For Wood Collectors and the Magazine has put in a nomination to the E.E.C. to this effect. When asked what had this to do with F1 Bob added "What has it to do with F1…. Use some sense and think about the wonderment of the wooded plank underneath the chassis of the car. That plank has been hand planed by Dave personally, it is a sight to behold …Dave and his plank. He loves that plank it goes everywhere with him. When he was presented with his award he stood there on the stage with his arm around his plank looking at it lovingly".
