As we close in on the start of the pre-season testing phase for the Career Ladder series', league veterans Woods Racing announce their 2016 driver lineup for the 17th Superleague season at the GPVWC.

Woods Racing are pleased to announce their plans for the 2016 Superleague season. The Southampton-based team finished tenth in 2015, an improvement on the previous season, and are aiming for further improvement this year. To that effect we have decided to build on the lineup we had last year.

Driving the #9 car will once again be Roy Schroten who continues with Woods Racing for a third season. The team's test driver will again be Menno Klont who returns to the role he took in the early 2015 season. Joining the pair in the #8 car will be 2014 runner-up and multiple race winner Lewis Redshaw.

Ollie Woods, Team Principal and Owner, Woods Racing:
It was pleasing to improve on our standing in 2015 but we know we've got a lot to do in order to prove that we still belong in the top echelons of motorsport. I truly believe that with this lineup we've taken steps towards this.

Lewis Redshaw is a proven race winner and an incredibly strong racing driver. It's a shame that CSG Racing are no longer with us but as soon as we learned of Lewis's availability we had to get him on board. He's already made himself at home and we look forward to seeing what he can do in the first pre-season test. It was just as easy a decision to keep Roy on; he's an incredibly loyal guy as well as a good friend and he continues to improve. It's great to have Menno back too and we know he'll do well when called upon.

So far our pre-season has been successful and we're confident of being really well prepared when the time comes to start the season in Melbourne. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do this year!

Lewis Redshaw, car #8:
I always said I would drive for Woods one day. Myself and Ollie have spoken about it a few times before and I'm thankful we could make it happen for 2016.

Roy Schroten, car #9:
I am very happy that Woods Racing has offered me the opportunity for a third season in their Superleague campaign. I can't wait to discover the new era with rFactor 2 and a whole new mod. It is great to partner with Lewis, from who I am sure I can learn a lot. Ollie has always been a great guy who is very dedicated to SL and the whole team. With Menno as test and reserve, I am sure we have a very steady line up to work outselves well inside the top 10 in the teams championship.

Menno Klont, test/reserve driver:
I'm glad I could stay at Woods for a 2nd year. I'm very happy to help the teams with testing and maybe some racing, I think 2016 will be difficult because of the use of Rfactor 2, but we have a good team so I think we can score good points in 2016. I'm looking forward to it!
