With less than 24 hours until the first round of the 2016 World GT gets underway, new team STAX Racing unveil their car and driver lineup for the series.

These are exciting times over at STAX Racing headquarters in Halifax, Canada. The team's first race is about to start in less than 24 hours. Now STAX Racing has unveiled their livery for their maiden season and announced its driver lineup.

"With us running the Aston Martin, we felt bound to rock the classic British racing green." says team manager Christian Zoerner. "But, being a new team, we also wanted to bring something new to the table, which is why our livery will feature metallic neon green parts that hopefully will stand out in a grid full of beautiful cars. We feel this paint job visualizes our team ethic perfectly, in that it combines tradition and progress." The livery was designed by Gerdoner Designs (https://www.facebook.com/GerdonerDesigns/)

With such a short notice between the series entries and the first race, there was a lot going on behind the scenes. "Yes," Zoerner admits, "there were times I feared we would not field a complete lineup for the first race. The problem with being a new team is, that no one knows your name. We do not have a proven track record yet, which makes signing drivers that bit harder. That's why I am glad we ended up with two very talented drivers in Diego Carranza and Andrew Waring. Those guys have shown in other leagues that they are up there with the big boys. I am very eager to see what they can do with the car the team has provided them with."

But the team acknowledges that there will be quite a large learning curve in the first season. Off record, high ranking personnel stated that the goal in the first race will be to bring home the cars and gather information about setups and handling of the newly acquired car.

Helping with that task will be reserve driver Geoffrey Fournier. "I am very glad that Geoff is on-board. He has proven to be very good with setups and the more information about the car we gather, the better. His involvement is the direct result of our partnership with Epic Racing, who also helped us big time in setting up the team." said Zoerner.

The first round of GPVWC's 2016 World GT series will be held in Fuji on the 3rd of March, 2016. The race will be broadcasted live on www.gpvwc.com/tv
