The Liverpool-based outfit announce a new signing to their 2016 Superleague team.

Today Vod:Bul Racing announced they had found an answer to who should till the hole left by Canapino's departure and partner the current World Drivers Champion Philipp Puschke.

That driver is Mindaugas Klumbis, the Lithuanian and former Torrent driver who found himself without a drive after the demise of his former team only 24 hours ago.

Klumbis first raced at GPVWC briefly in 2012 but went full time in 2014 with Target Racing in their Superleague debut year scoring 22 points.

In 2015 Klumbis was moved to the Torrent Motorsports team scoring 35 points with a best place finish of 6th.
The change to rF2 in 2016 really suited Mindaugas where in the 8 races this season Klumbis has amassed 65 points and finds himself 8th in the drivers' standings. This has included his debut Superleague victory in Bahrain and a podium in Turkey.

Owner Mike Pitman
"I am very pleased to have managed to bring Mindaugas to the team, a driver of his quality doesn't come around very often, especially mid-season. Klumbis is a race winner and we look forward to working together to get even more. I want to thank Risto and David for filling in superbly in an awkward phase for the team where we could have dropped out of the championship hunt. I am very excited to have the speed and stability in the team that Mindaugas brings."

"Last couple days were very difficult for me, I had two choices: to quit or search for another team, after Jordan left and there was no money for another driver. I am sad and happy at the same time now. Sad that my previous team collapsed, with which I had many good races and my heart will be always with them. But after sadness there must be happiness, as I found new home for me at Vod:Bul. I hope that I will help my new team to battle for the constructor's championship and achieving that will score some good results for me."

Klumbis' debut will be at Austria where he takes car #15 and everyone at the team and factory is excited to see what he can do in the Vod:Bul.
