The Cornish outfit take a look back at the final round of the 2016 Superleague season

A wet finale at Interlagos produced an exciting race, but again the chips failed to fall the way of Kernow Sport.

Bart and Dan arrived well prepared to score some big points in Brazil. They started the event by qualifying a terrific 5th and 6th. Dan though would start back in 13th after a Back-of-Grid penalty was applied.

TM Wicks: "Both drivers made great starts as the rain started to come down. Bart up to 4th and Dan climbing places as well: though at Turn 4 he got hit off track and dropped those spots again. As Bart cruised in 4-5th Dan showed great pace at this stage on the wet tyres and clawed his way up to within a few seconds of Bart. Both cars ran 3rd at one stage or other and, as the pit-stop strategies played out and tyres choices went back and forth, by midrace we had them both running in the top-8, just what the team needed in terms of points. However, it all fell apart mid-distance. A Stop-Go penalty struck Bart, and then a sequence of spins and front-wing damage for the cars dropped us back. Dan having to retire again 44 laps in, but Bart persevered and came home 13th. It wasn't the finish we wanted to our season; the second half has been somewhat flat. Our car and drivers had been capable of so much more, so even though 7th in the championship is a huge improvement on last year, it still feels like an underachievement now. 149 points, but without disconnects and retirements and with some luck it should've been over 200 in my opinion."

I would like to finish though with wishing Kernow Sports congratulations to the new champions: Eros and Edonis.
