The application process for 2001 has opened!

All current members must also sign up to confirm their intentions.

The 2001 GPVWC season will be based on an entirely new set of rules aimed at giving a more competitive and fun atmosphere in what has already proved itself one of the best sim racing leagues on the net. Team Managers will have a much greater input in their teams success than this year and will probably play a bigger and more powerful role than some of the drivers.

The following details are a rough guide to what you can expect in 2001:

- 17 races following FIA calendar

- 100% races

- Performance levels dependant on which engine/chassis/tyres you run on

- GP3 v1.13, with further patch updates a possibility

-Drivers will have a sponsor assigned to them and will take this sponsor (and it's value) to the team he signs for.

- Failure to qualify will mean you cannot race

- Open to 11 sim teams

- If a team goes bankrupt it can not race in the GPVWC for 1 full season.

- Team Managers can not be drivers

Team Managers will get a budget (which has not yet been decided) to pay for the following things:

- Engines

- Chassis

- Tyres

- Drivers

- Travelling Expenses

- Testing Fees

- Fines/Charges (if the team breaks any rule) -

Championships:

-Drivers Championship

-Constructors Championship

Points for both of these:

1st 10

2nd 6

3rd 4

4th 3

5th 2

6th 1

1 point for pole position and fastest race lap.

The teams will still get a money prize (not real money!) for finishing in the points (although it has not been decided how much) This will go towards the team's expenses during the 2001 season and beyond.

Entry:

-Two pre-season testing sessions will he held at Britain and Spain to determine the speed of the drivers.

-Teams can sign-up with or without drivers, but both race drivers need to be confirmed by the time of these tests.

-The 11 championship teams will not be given full entry until after these 2 tests have been completed, and then the highest performing teams will be selected.

After recent events it has been decided that any team which has a driver that fails to send in a time for 2 consecutive races will be reviewed, with that driver most likely withdrawn. Any team that fails to manage it's affairs successfully (including keeping in contact with the GPVWC management) will also be under review and most likely withdrawn.

This information is intended as a guide for next season, it is only sneak preview of the rules that will be used which will be very complex and complete.

This information is also subject to change at any time by the GPVWC management.

PLEASE NOTE - THIS INFORMATION IS NOT TO BE COPIED BY ANY PERSON/S FOR THE INTENTION OF STARTING THEIR OWN SIM RACING LEAGUE.......
