After a heavy week of testing, Southern Cross United Motor Sports believe they have made a huge leap forward in the reliability of their Renault engines.

Although it's rumoured that the new evolution of Ford engines of Willy Ponissi's E.I.R.E team has increased their power making the Renault's the lowest powered engine on the field Rab Harding isn't concerned.

"We concentrated on reliability testing at Monza as we'd know if we can finish the majority of the races we can earn valuable points. We'd rather make it to a race and be able to finish it than just running fast for a few laps. Anyway, we believe we've made a marginal step forward in horsepower as well, so, although we now have less power than Will we're also a bit closer to the midfield teams."

Regan wasn't available for comment as he flew across the 'pond' early to let his wife and kids spend time with their family in the States. It's rumoured he's getting ready for the race in Canada by having a bit of fun in the hills of Vermont in his Subaru WRX.
