Vod:Bul Racing F2 was an English Supercup team ran by Mike Pitman, which competed in the 2005 and 2006 Supercup seasons, back when the series was known as the "F2VWC". It was the first Vod:Bul team to compete in the GPVWC leagues.
History
2005
2005 marked the first foray into the GPVWC for Mike Pitman, who brought Doug Hilliard across with him from the HOWC leagues to be the team's main driver. Hilliard would set the team's best finish at the 3rd round at Monaco when he finished fourth (having also finished fourth at the first round at Imola) and also set the team's best qualifying position, starting the Monaco race from 2nd of the grid. However, from the 4th round onwards, Hilliard would slip down the results, usually starting and finishing around 8th. John Harland and then Shane Hibberd were hired to be second driver, but both failed to start their respective races and for the 5th round at France, Pitman took up driving responsibilities himself, finishing 5th in his first race. Dutchman Peter van Oostende was brought in for the last 3 races, retiring at Hungary but then beating Hilliard at Italy and Belgium.
The team amassed 127 points which was good enough for 5th in that year's Constructor's championship.
2006
In 2006, the team was one of four entrants entered by Vod:Bul, which had by now also branched out into the Superleague. Two new drivers were brought in; Simon Heywood and Dave Carr-Smith, in his first year of competition in the GPVWC. Carr-Smith would score the team's best result that year – 5th at Turkey – in what was a relatively poor year for the team, which saw it absent from the final race of the season and only scoring 47 points. The team finished in the Constructors' championship a lowly 8th, behind two of its sister teams.
With the Supercup not running in 2007, the team was closed, with Vod:Bul focusing entirely on the Superleague and HOWC.
