Simracing Career

2015

Mayor made his GPVWC debut at the 2015 Canadian Grand Prix in the Open Series, which saw Mayor take 9th place in race 1 but retiring in race 2. However, Mayor also made an unthinkable debut within the Superleague the same week. After agreeing to fill in for Sven De Vries at the crumbling Target Racing, Mayor qualified 25th on the grid. Mayor avoided the turn 1 multi-car pile-up and found himself in the top 15, however his inconsistency and inexperience soon found him in last, and after pitting onto slicks 20 laps in, the sudden change in weather caught him out and forced him into a retirement.

Mayor's luck started to change, and the 2015 British Grand Prix in the Open Series saw Mayor Qualify 7th. After a stunning start, Mayor was fighting for the top 4, but entering the Maggots-Becketts complex, an out-of-control Cziranku skidded onto the track and collected Mayor, forcing him, along with other cars, out of the race in spectacular fasion.

2016

2016 saw Mayor take a break from GPVWC to improve his driving skills and gain experience at a smaller league, Simleague.de. During this time, Mayor finished the 2016 FS1 championship 5th, in just his debut season, whilst taking multiple wins and podiums throughout the year in both FS3 and FS1 championships.

2017

In 2017, Mayor co-founded Mayor Downard Racing Team (then MDR Motrosports} with Josh Downard. Mayor entered the 2017 FS3 championship driving for MDR, resulting in Mayor winning both the Drivers and Teams championship in the leagues final season. 2017 also saw Mayor race in FS1 once again, this time taking a total of 6 wins on his way to finishing runner-up in both championship tables whilst racing for UNC, United Autosports Racing and EJ Engineering throughout the season.

2018

On December 5th 2017, it was announced that Mayor would be returning to GPVWC for the 2018 Supercup championship full time, racing with the ST Racing outfite alongside team owner, Mark Fuller. The first preseason test at Imola circuit was Mayor's first official session of the season. As the only ST driver competing in the test, he finished the session 7th fastst just 0.271 slower than the quickest time. He also completed a total of 58 laps over the 2 hour 30 minute session.
