Streetfighter Racing Systems is an Australian GPVWC constructor who will be competing in the 2019 Superleague season. The Team was founded in 2012 by William Tringas to compete in the GPVWC 2012 Formula Challenge season. Current Racing Director Ben Horrill took over the day to day operations of the Team at the Start of the 2018 Season while also adding Energy Drinks Giant Red Bull as the Teams new Title Sponsor.
Founded by William Tringas in 2012 the Team won its first Race at the 2015 Supercup season Race 1 at Austin,Texas in the hands of Douwe Tapper, but the Team`s to date best result`s came in the 2016 Supercup season&2016 World GT Series season. The Supercup Season saw the teams Drivers Risto Kappet and David Francic claim 6 Race wins, 20 Podiums, 6 Pole Position`s, 7 Fastest Lap`s and 768 Points in Total to finish 2nd in the Team Standings.
The World GT Season of 2016 saw the Team claim its do date only Championship. In the hands of Kappet,Philipp Puschke and James Johnson the Team achieved 6 wins out of 6 Race`s aswell as 6 Pole`s, 4 Fastest Laps, 7 Podium`s and a Total of 189 Points to Win the World GT Championship.
The Good performances in 2016 should pay off and the Team got promoted to GPVWC`s Main Series the Superleague for 2017.The teams Drivers Ben Horrill,David Francic and Maciej Mylnek scored a total of 130 Points and 1 fastest lap to finish 9th in the Team Standings. Qouting GPVWC`s Review Book at the end of 2017 "Streetfighter`s debut Superleague Campaign was solid, if unspectacular, but a good foundation for the team`s future. Using only three drivers throughout the whole season displayed the good organisation of the team management.
For the 2018 Superleague season the team managed to sign Red Bull as new Title Sponsor aswell as former Nordsjøen Racing Driver Florian Geier alongside Team Boss Horrill. The Team struggled for most of the Season and only towards the end of the Year their result`s would improve. David Francic returned for 4 race in total, while Dennis Lind took the 2nd Seat for the final Race at Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Race saw the Team pick up its best result of the Season with Geier in 6th and Lind in 9th showing the team`s potential. The Team fell well below its expected finishing position at 14th scoring only 47 points.
In 2019 the team will once again put Geier and Francic in their car`s.
