The season started off well enough for the new Nijo Racing Superleague they grabbed a pretty reasonable sponsor package and had signed two promising drivers in the form of [[Tom Parker]] and [[Ashley Walsh]]. This potential was shown in some good pre-season test results and this inital feeling was only let down by failing to secure their first choice engine supplier and so had to settle for the somewhat inferior Toyota powerplant for the rest of the season.

The biggest blow was shortly before the first race with the loss of Walsh who was unable to race due to other commitments and meant that manager [[Chris Williamson]] had to step into the gap until [[Abdel Damghi]] joined as a replacement. Despite some decent performances the opening races, Nijo were plagued by retirements and connection issues for Parker, but things suddenly picked up when Ashley suddenly announced a return (although Tom had to step down for this). For the first time both cars got through to Q2 at [[2011 South African Grand Prix|Kyalami]] and things were looking hopeful once more. Sadly what promised to be a great race turned into a double retirement and Walsh was not seen again for the rest of the season.

The middle part of the season was equally tough, with a combination of Williamson, Damghi and [[Ben Warren]] competing for the team, but so often they fell just short of the points leaving Nijo feeling pretty frustrated and bottom of the standings. At this point the team's development focus started to turn to next season. However, despite a weaker car compared to the like of [[ST Racing]] and [[Computrac]], Nijo's form started to pick up at the end of the season there were a string of races where Damghi and new signing [[Tommi Koivunen]] got in Q2 and started challenging for the lower points positions on a more regular basis. Indeed they managed to score almost all our points in the final races, with highlight being Tommi's fantastic 7th place at Barcelona.

Nijo Racing were one of 3 new teams to enter the Superleague in 2011. They currently managed by Chris Williamson.

2011 Season

The season started off well enough for the new Nijo Racing Superleague they grabbed a pretty reasonable sponsor package and had signed two promising drivers in the form of Tom Parker and Ashley Walsh. This potential was shown in some good pre-season test results and this inital feeling was only let down by failing to secure their first choice engine supplier and so had to settle for the somewhat inferior Toyota powerplant for the rest of the season.
