Abdel Damghi is a sim-racer based in the Netherlands currently racing in the GPVWC Superleague for Nijo Racing.
Early Years
Damghi started his simracing career racing in online servers using the F1Rft2008 mod racing on the Fuji circuit. He was asked to join F1 Legends for the second season and drove alongside team-mate Jason Muscat. Damghi finished 7th in the championship before the league was abandoned.
Damghi then became a race winner in "Dutch Racing League" before departing the series mid-way through the championship and joining "ERL". He took his first and only ERL win racing in the Meganne Series. He also joined ERL's single seater competition halfway through the season racing for Leighton Motorsport in season one, finishing 28th and scoring eight points before joining Monster Energy GP in season two and finishing 11th on 38 points.
Superleague Career
Damghi then was persuaded to join the GPVWC by old friend and rival Ojay Clark who assisted Damghi in finding a Superleague drive from race two of the 2011 season. He often impressed in qualifying but suffered problems during the race. A five race break mid-season didn't help his campaign and he finished 24th with three points. Damghi however impressed Nijo boss Chris Williamson enough for him to sign him for a 2012 contract.
