The 2015 World GT Series will be the third running of the GPVWC World GT Series following a year's absence in 2014. The series will use the highly-acclaimed EnduranceRacingX mod by UnitedRacingDesign. It shall also be one of two series to utilise rFactor 2 in 2015, alongside the newly established Atlantic Series.

Team Changes
- The majority of the teams that competed in the most recent season, 2013, did not return to the series for the 2015 season: of the 30 teams that competed in the 2013 season, only 5 would compete in 2015.
New Entries
- Having secured an entry into the series in 2013 but failing to race, SimTech Jota Sport are racing in the World GT series for the first time in 2015.
- Armaroli Racing Team, Aurora Motorsports, Scuderia Basilea, Downforce iZone Racing, Edonis Engineering, Fox Racing, Smile Power Racing, The Mighty Forth and Walk Racing all entered the World GT series for the first time in 2015.
