Josh Downard is a British sim-racing driver and team-owner of MDR. Downard currently drives for Green Stripes Racing for the 2018 Supercup Championship.

Simracing Career

2016

In 2016, Downard was introduced to league racing by Jack Mayor. December later that year, Downard and Mayor announced that they shall be forming an amateur simracing team by the name of "MDR Motorsports", with both acting as co-owners of the team.

2017

In 2017, Downard made occasional appearances in many leagues and series, specifically his debut race at GPVWC in Formula Challenge for race 1 of the Spanish Grand Prix, driving for his own team MDR Motorsports. This saw him take points after a strong debut race.
The same year he made his Supercup debut, filling in for Cosmo Autosports for the Belgian Grand Prix. Again, Downard scored points on a strong debut race, and despite retiring from the his 2nd race, his performance was enough to secure him a primary seat for the 2018 Supercup season for Green Stripes Racing.
