List of Superleague drivers who set a fastest lap
As of the 2011 German Grand Prix, 120 different drivers have set a fastest lap in a Formula One Grand Prix.
Michael Schumacher holds the record, with 76 fastest laps between the 1992 Belgian Grand Prix and the 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix for Benetton and Ferrari. Gerhard Berger has the most among non world champions, with 21 between the 1986 German Grand Prix and the 1997 German Grand Prix for Benetton, Ferrari and McLaren. Chris Amon and Jean-Pierre Jarier share the record for the most among non race winners, with 3 each. Amon's came between the 1970 Belgian Grand Prix and the 1972 French Grand Prix for March and Matra. Jarier's came between the 1975 Brazilian Grand Prix and the 1978 United States Grand Prix for Shadow and Lotus.
The first fastest lap, at the 1950 British Grand Prix, went to Giuseppe Farina who was driving for Alfa Romeo. The most recent driver to set a fastest lap for the first time is Robert Kubica, who achieved this at the 2010 Canadian Grand Prix driving for Renault.
The nation which has scored the most fastest laps is the United Kingdom, with 195 fastest laps by 22 drivers. Their first was taken jointly by Stirling Moss, driving for Maserati, and Mike Hawthorn, driving for Ferrari at the 1954 British Grand Prix. Their most recent was by Lewis Hamilton at the 2011 German Grand Prix, driving for McLaren. Nigel Mansell has the most fastest laps among British drivers, with 30 between the 1983 European Grand Prix and the 1992 Japanese Grand Prix for Lotus, Williams and Ferrari.
