Hawkeye Racing have withdrawn from the GPVWC Superleague with immediate effect.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce today that Hawkeye Racing will be withdrawing from the GPVWC Superleague.
Unfortunately I am finding myself with less time to run the team and have been unable to find anyone suitable to assist with the management. It?s not a decision I?ve taken lightly and it has been something I have been considering since the middle of last season.
It?s been a pleasure to be part of the GPVWC community. Since we rejoined back in 2011, I?ve seen the league grow in numbers and become a very well respected league in the sim racing world. I?m proud that Hawkeye has been a part of it for so long. Our success has been fairly limited but we still had some results to celebrate.
Thank you to everyone that spent their free time helping the team out, whether it was driving for us (there?s been a lot of you), assisting in the management or taking on the role of race engineer, I?m grateful to you all for helping Hawkeye last this long!
I?d like to apologise to the league management for making the decision so close to the season. I hope this doesn?t cause any headaches.
This isn?t the end for Hawkeye but for now the team will not be competing in any competitions in 2020. Hopefully we?ll see you on track again some time!
