The GPVWC Governing Body has reacted to the recent contract dispute between MaMa Racing & Erdem Coban. The Governing Body has voted to terminate the current contract between the team and driver allowing both to go their seperate ways.
MaMa Racing will be refunded a percentage of the retainer paid to Coban based on the amount of races he has been contracted [eg Australia to Brazil].
Erdem Coban is now free to pursue a race driver or test drive with any other GPVWC team.
Dan Lawrence, League Admin & Governing Body member, commented, "We have looked into the rules and excercised the power they give to us by terminating the contract between MaMa Racing and Coban. Hopefully this is the end of the matter."
Joe Consiglio has already been signed up to replace Coban and will be racing @ imola this weekend.
Coban is strongly linked to take up a testing role with Hernj-Roaldo.
