It was Petter Kaasa who took the first pole of the 2012 Supercup Season. With a 1:43.692 he was 0.1 seconds faster than team mate Rickard Hellsten. Pavel Loknovski managed to drive his car to the 3rd place, with Dave Carr-Smith behind him as 4th. David Fidock qualified as 5th, and Jason Muscat drove his #0 Malta Force car to 6th place. Row 4 was taken by Alex Cooper and Philip Cullen. Terence Grech took the 9th place in his GPVWC debut. Andrew Morgan took 10th and Ojay Clark qualified as 11th.
