Kieran Ryan's pre-season buid up has not gone the 2002 runner's up way. He has suffered

from a debilitating stomach bug and the flu which hasn't helped his cause.

Ryan has completed minimum testing in the newly designed KRB 03, which is due to launch on the 20th of this month. He has also had many problems with the car when trying to integrate his new steering system. He had to run his old steering system for both his British and Italian test so far, but the team is confident that the problem has finally been resolved.

During the British test, he completed minimum testing, 30 laps only, and spent the first 20 mins inside the KRB pit when his throttle literally went to the floor when attempting to accelerate out.

At the Italian test, again more problems persisted, and he completed the day very sick, and nearly plum last. He later explained his problems, and warned not everyone is showing their true pace within these tests.

A serious re-development of his steering wheel has been undertaken and his new wheel will arrive in the coming week, before KRB's offical launch. Ryan is looking forward to a tough season of battles and in his case hopefully some triumphs.

Ryan was recently spending some time away at the premier in Dublin of 'Catch Me If You Can' with his new team mate. He's looking forward to the opener of the season. Ryan did not begin last year's Australian, he only made his debut in Malaysia.
