In a press conference earlier today regarding the SA-03V's impending unveiling in 2 weeks time, Lawrence mentioned that Javier Aparicio will replace Martijn Vosselman as #1 driver for Simsoa.

The decision came from a meeting with the drivers about the Monza testing. "Martijn will become our chief test driver and Javier will replace him in racing duties. It wasn't an easy decision, but the drivers all decided that we need to have a more competitive line-up. Martijn is good, but needs time to develop his skill."

Javier was there to say what he thought about this change "I feel calm, same as I was when I was the test driver. Martijn will learn from us, then he will learn many more things about controlling the car..."

David commented on this news as well from his Liverpool home, before going to Austria the next day "I am a bit shocked at the decision Lawrence had to take, but you have to look at all angles and think of the whole team to progress through the season. It`s not an easy job for the manager but Martijn is a good guy - he will understand. Martijn is quick! He showed us this in Silverstone."

Martijn will still test with the team in Austria and provide helpful setups for the season ahead.
