Day 4 didn't start too well for FinOz Racing team.

Juha Tanskanen hit pond of standing water aproaching Remus Curve. The car got off the line into left hand side and went onto the wet grass at the side of the track - after that there wasn't much Juha could do. The car hit the gravel trap about 230kmh and got punched into air, that didn't slow the car much down as it landed back on gravel and turned sideways and hit the tyre barriers.

The FinOz team estimated the speed was about 100kmh when car hit the tyres, and without getting airborne they believe it would have been much slower.

The left hand side of the car received major damage, as both wheels were ripped off. Also some other bodywork damage occured.

"These things happen, it was a tricky place as the there was a river of water there going cross the braking area. Luckily Juha is OK and that is the main thing. Also the car isn't so bad as it looks, there isn't anything we couldn't fix right here right now." Koski commented briefly after the crash.

Indeed, after few hours of intensive building Juha was able to get back on track with the very same car.
