The Austrian GP saw Miodrag "Miki" Mihailovic score his first point of the season for both himself and the MMRT team. F1VWC News caught up with the Serbian driver prior to Monza testing, where it appears that the team aren't testing.

Q ? Congratulations on gaining MMRT?s first point of the 2004 season. How does it feel, especially with it being so tough to get into the points with the level of competitive drivers out there?

A ? Well, I'm really happy with this result. It is very hard to get some points with such competitive group of drivers. There is at least 10 drivers who can score points in every race and our team is in the middle of pack (with BHP figure) so it's great to be in top 8 at A1 ring. I hope my teammate and I can score more points in next races.

Q ? Are you confident of being able to improve even further? It must give you great motivation to see that a fellow Keyboard driver (Shiro Ryong) finished 3rd in Austria?

A ? It's great to see that keyboard driver can get this result but Shiro's best lap is about 1s slower then Scott's best lap and in whole race he is some 0.5s per lap slower even if they have the same strategy. I hope I can improve on my 8th place in next races but it's not just in my hands. I will need some luck too.

Q ? Rumour has it that the MMRT team won?t be testing in Monza. What is the reason for this? Is it monetary problems?

A ? On the one hand I don't like the fact we won't test in Monza because we can't improve our engine and reliability. But in the other hand this is a welcomed few days of rest. To find out a real reason for missing this test you will have to ask our team manager Miguel Oliveira.

F1VWC News - This result gives hope to those drivers and teams yet to score a point. Miki's determination and transfer of qualifying speed into the race itself has proven that the top flight can be challenged.
