A-Racing Chris Connolly added his two cents on the recent talks regarding steering help:

"I'd like to express my views on the Steering help available to drivers, next season.

A vote has been setup on the site, and so far No Steering Help is the favourite, closely followed by 30% Help. Some time ago, Scott Smith gave an opinion on how Steering Help just speeds drivers up, as the Oversteer is simply corrected when going around corners. I do know that the help can correct oversteer, but...I was wondering, beccause if this was the case, how come all of the hotlaps submitted at BH Motorsports are way faster when made with no Steering Help? I think No steering help is actually faster, its just that there is a lot of practise needed to excel at that level. But 2001 rules should allow drivers to choose to have at least 30% help, due to the fact that many drivers, just may not be able to come to grips with no help. I know that I will be trying to drive with No Help, but it is hard, and even 10% would be nice, as I think it will make driving a little more enjoyable than with the car wanting to spin at every corner. (This is only my opinion).

Anyway, I would like to wish Jason Endean and Thomas Kimmich the best of luck for the final race of the season at Monaco. One of these drivers will walk away with the first ever GPVWC drivers title!"
