Jason Endean, the fresh GPVWC World Champion, has answered our questions minutes after winning the most coveted prize in sim-racing.

Jason Endean - 2000 GPVWC Drivers World Champion - how does it feel to be addressed like that?

Jason: It is a wonderful feeling, I am lost for words! The team and I worked so hard over the season getting things right on the car to make this dream come true. When I have calmed down, and thought about it a bit more, I guess the realisation will be more realistic.

You missed the first race of the season and still managed to win the title - how hard has it been to get into the lead of the championship and stay there?

Jason: Well, it was a real disappointment to miss the first race of the season due to delays with flights back from australia. It was a real uphill battle with Thomas Kimmich being such a talented driver and various other issues that happened throughout the season. My team manager and various other poeple in the league were a great help in keeping my motivation up to achieve this goal. I was worried coming into the race at monaco with the Track being as technical as it is...

yes - monaco is a real hard circuit to master. How did your race go?

Jason: Well, it started with a great start and being on a two stop strategy made things a little easier in controlling the car further into the race. The main problem was the back markers and I think the marshalls could have done a better job of enforcing the blue flag. The was a scary moment when one of the back markers moved into the line that I wanted causing me to throw the anchors out. This caused a bit of flat spotting on the tyres which made the drive just that little bit more difficult.

Is the aim now to 'do the double' and win back to back titles?

Jason: I would love to win back to back titles. My main priority is to spend some much needed time with my wife over Christmas, After that it will be back to training and some testing of the new car to try and secure the drivers and Constructors Championships for 2001.

Finally - would you like to say anything to your main rival - and championship runner up - Thomas Kimmich?

Jason: Well, there are a couple of things I would like to say. The first is to Thommas Kimmich who has performed like a true professional. He deserves a lot of credit for making the championship as good as it has been. I wish him all the success in the near future and look forward to racing on the track along side of him again. Also to the Two drivers from A-Racing - Richard Dickson and Chris Connolly - for their efforts in gaining the Constructors Championship. And One last Thankyou to Dan Lawrence for Making this league possible and making it an enjoyable experience.
