Dave Cummings didn't seem too pleased following the Canadian GP. However, he released the following comments as he tried to sort the team out for the USA GP.

"We started to go downhill when John Harland jumped out of his car after qualifying and came to see me looking rather pale. His sister had gone into labour, so we flew him home straight away.

We then had a few problems on Andreas? car on the grid so we had to remove some parts of the bodywork to solve the fault, but in doing so a junior member of the team changed a setting on the car and left it in the changed setup, and therefore the first we knew about it was post race when F1VWC Admin informed us of the penalty.

We wont be appealing on this because the rule was broken, and persons involved will be spoken to.

The team seems to have lost its way in the last few races, so for USA and probably Silverstone we are looking to get the team back onto its feet.

I am totally embarrassed by the lacklustre performance of the team and we WILL improve ourselves.

The team are currently undergoing a meeting regarding the events in the last few races - to see how we can improve ourselves for the future".
