As you all know Puma Formula Racing Team is yet to score its first points of the saeason and has seemed to lose its way in the last few races, but that was because of some changes that have now been revealed.

Overall Team Boss Dave Cummings had the following to say:-

"I would like to announce that Puma F1's Test driver John Harland will start to take a management role within the Puma Formula One team. We have taken the choice to help the team find its way within the championship. John will be there as a backup to myself if for some reason I am not available and will help in choosing drivers for the test sessions. He will be responsible for helping the race drivers working on setups in private testing and the organisation of such.

John and I have formed a strong relationship and hopefully this will strengthen not only that but the Puma Formula Racing Team overall. John will be held at Puma F1 until further notice, and until the day he leaves he will have a 20% stake in the team.

The next thing I have to say is that our purpose built factory and wind tunnel facilities have just been completed and all the drivers, team owners and other half?s are in invited to the facility in Rainford for the official opening on Friday 30th July".

There then followed a Q&A session with John Harland & Dave Cummings the main correspondents!

To John: -

How do you feel about the events just explained to us?

?After starting at Puma F1 as a test driver my main ambition was to do well, give as much help as possible and contribute where I can, shortly after I was soon put in the firing line and straight into the race car for Canada, a major blow was not being able to race for personal commitments (birth of nephew) then to be straight in the thick of it at Indianapolis.

I have great respect for Dave who not only is my boss but become to be a good friend too, having being offered role of technical director I?m ecstatic to accept and look forward to a long and illustrious career with this up and coming team and thanks Dave for giving me the opportunity.?

To Dave: -

What effect will this have on the team and will it help you score your first point?

?This I feel allows the big cat to take another leap forwards. I can now focus more on what items we should test on and why. We aren?t looking at winning races or even scoring our first point this season. There are reasons for this. First of all we bought out Stealth Grand Prix. We have been working in their ageing facilities, from which we have just moved to out new facilities in Rainford, were we have already started on improvements to the PMA-01C, which is soon to make its debut."

Is the PMA-1C much of an improvement?

"Yes we feel it is a massive improvement on the old car".
