While everyone in F1VWC gets a well deserved break from racing, MMC Racing BMW Owner/Driver Ryan McConkey made the most of his time, and test drove a Lister Storm at the Spa-Francorchamps track in Beligium. It is reportedly just for fun, but who knows if McConkey will continue in F1VWC in 2005 as a driver. McConkey loves sports cars almost as much as he does F1, and there is a rumour that he would love racing sports cars if he was not to race in F1.

After the drive he said, "I got this opportunity from a friend with the Lister Storm team, and I'm really lucky for the chance. It felt completely different than my usual MMC002B car, so it took alittle while to get some good laps in. I could really enjoy doing this for a season or two!"

When asked about the rumour he replied, "Well, I know that rumour might be floating around...That I might not comeback to VWC in 2005 as a driver, but I cannot give a straight answer. The reason why is because I don't know the answer either. It's still too early to make a decision like that, and I'd like to finish this season out and we'll see where I stand, and how I feel about the situation. For the time being I'm going to savour this sports car test drive, and get ready to race at Silverstone, as I'm looking forward to it alot."
