For only the second time this season, it rained during an F1VWC meeting (the first time at the last Austria test). In the torrential conditions, the green and white SA-03Vs excelled as they topped the timesheets 2 times in 4 days.

Both Javier and David were fastest on Days 1 and 3 respectively. What was the extra surprise was how David managed to obtain a 1m18 which had shown he had improved by 2 seconds since the last time we were here.

It was quite clear that the Japanese team were well prepared for wet condition as many of the other teams seemed to sink rather than swim with most of the drivers recording times of over 1m20. In the end, the Simsoas had 2 of the top 6 fastest times of the 4 day session.

In another twist, Lennart Schreiber has pulled out of the Hungarian GP due to undisclosed problems and will be replaced by Martijn Vosselman. Lennart is expected to fulfill the 2-race minimum race deal starting at Spa.
